Great, now I have new one.  Voice over talent for narration.  I listen to a LOT of books on tape, and I am pretty sure I could do as good or better.   Especially for books requiring (embarrassing) Minnesota accents...  Anyway, I think that would be super fun!

Minnesota accents are AWESOME!!!.....I have business clients in MN and have a blast when I chat with them on the phone.

You should check out the TriForLife team.  This is their goals as well and I think they are somewhere between 1/8 and 1/4 of the way there in three years.  They came to Iowa to do Hy-Vee last year and we hosted them.  Check them out at http://www.donatelifetriathlon.com/.  Perhaps they could helkp you with some suggestions.  Lon posts on the Michigan board every now and then.

This is so tough, as I have done almost everything I had ever wanted to do.  I have been under the earth, over the earth, all over the earth, and even eaten the earth.

Even though I am a pilot and have flown my own place across the US several times, I would love to go into outer space, and would volunteer in a heart  beat to give up everything to live on the moon or mars or where ever else we can colonize.  I would also love to be abducted by aliens and live out my days with them.

Fun topic:

Sports related list:

1) Ride the annual L'Etape at the Tour de France (where mere mortals are allowed to ride a full stage of the tour the day before the Pro's do).
2) Ride the Paris-Roubaix Cyclosportive (every other year they allow mere mortals to, again, play in the fields of the Gods)
3) Run Western States and finish sub-30 (would love to go sub 24 but let's be realistic).
4) Do an IM.
5) BQ and then run Boston.
6) Thru hike the Appalachian Trail with my wife and any of the kids that want to join us.
7) Climb all 4000 footers in New England with my wife.

Life list:

1) Live in France again for 3 to 6 months.
2) Retire from Army and do free international ophthalmology.
3) Travel with my lovely wife and 5 kids to Europe and back to Nepal again.
4) Be a residency instructor in ophtho.

Man, cannot think of any other goals right now, but fun to think about!

Never made a bucket list.

Not a big fan of guided tours.

I prefer to float the river and partake in what tickles my fancy at the time.

I don't have a future list, that whole being ADD prevents such preplanning.  So I have my completed bucket list.  Plus, looking at my completed list how would I have ever come up with this kind of a list or understood that these are the memories of the things that I have done or seen that are most important to me.

(in no particular order, except the first one love you dear)
Get Married

Live in Europe (Including seeing Paris, London, Zurich, Geneva.  Eating real Itallian food.  True french bread.   Skiing in the Alps and wind surfing in northern Italy.  Plays in London.)
Get a college degree
Own a house
Learn how to make cabinets
white water raft
complete a triathlon
SCUBA Dive
learn how to play hockey
Visit Washington DC
Road Trips (West Virginia, Custer State Park, Badlands, Mount Rushmore)
Watch a Swan take off from a lake (seriously this is one of the most amazing things in nature in my mind)
Hike the Rockies
Complete a project that saved 5 million gallons of fresh water a year
Visit China
Learn to cook good food, not just cook enough not to starve or get sick.

This might come out the wrong way, but looking at other people's list makes me realize how much I've accomplished.

At any rate, my list at this point is:
- Badwater
- Ultraman
- Get my MBA
- Get my CMA and CPA certifications
- Watch both my girls grow up, go to college, get married and have families of their own

A few things I'd like to do but if I didn't it wouldn't be a big deal:
- Finish another IM
- Thru-hike the AT
- Get my DBA/PhD

have another child-work in progress
move to The Farm with said child and wife-wheels are in motion on this one
marathon-work in progress
ultra-running-have done some ultra cycling in the past
An Ironman (or iron distance)-in progress with intermediate goals
Instrument/multi engine ratings-in progress-delayed a little
own my own airplane-hmm maybe, one time I really wanted my own boat-now I really want to sell it
skydiving
my own successful business
figure out what I'm good enough at to turn into a business
To ride in all 50 states (14 down)
to live long enough to see the Tri-centenial-July 4 2076 (I picked this goal in 1976)
Build my own boat or airplane
Build more of my own furniture (chipping away at this)
Try adventure racing
Being as self sufficient as possible-"off grid" etc
Die on my own terms
Don't care too much about traveling except in the pursuit of other goals.
A pretty good list some of it based on my whims at the moment..maybe I could simplify it to "being able to pursue my whims for as long as possible"

Timely thread as I was just updating my last week. Here is a sampling of mine:

5. Stay in a Tuscan villa

7. Climb all 50 US state highpoints (14 down!)

11. Celebrate 50 years of marriage

13. Visit Metz, France, and attend their annual Liberation Celebration. (My dad helped liberate the town in WWII.)

14. Play the Old Course at St. Andrews (Pebble and Pinehurst #2 are also on my list)

17. Watch the Kona Ironman live

22. Fly in a Helicopter (DanielG - any help?, LOL)

25. Shoot a machine gun

I also have a "things I have done" list that I refer to when I want to "count my blessings".  I have had a very fortunate life to date and consider myself very lucky.....
