If you're looking for something fun to do to end off your season, come to Kelowna and do this inaugural race being put on by my friend Rob Swan (Coach at Critical Performance), and his wife, triathlete, Carmelle Guidi-Swan.  There are short and long courses for both the Du and the Tri, and the short courses in particular are great for first timers because the bike course is on the wide cross-country ski trails up by McCulloch Lake.  (I am a fairly crappy mtn biker and I rode the short course while it was still in overgrown mode.  If I can do it, anyone can - OK, I did have to push my bike up 2 of the steeper hills but you won't have to.

I really want to do this but the Logistics are just wrong so far. I also can not commit to anything until I get the hockey schedule for the kids....darn it!!!!

Ack! I wish! I am doing (with dr leah and a couple other buddies) the MOMAR race in Cumberland! This looks like a fun race though! change the date for next year and I'll be there! Good luck to your hubby!
