Not drink the night before, get a good night sleep, don't do a trail run the day before! Mile 2 was my slowest mile....

Walked around and grabbed a coffee.

Event comments:

This was a very well run--especially for a first time event. Great community turn out and not every day can you run in Walnut Creek without getting run down by cars! Great community turn-out and lots of vendors after the race.

Race Director Jason and Kim Cooke did a great job. I will be back next year.
