Pre-race routine:

The race was just around the corner from my house, so I slept in, had a bagel and a banana, and hit the road.
Event warmup:

Stretched for about an hour last night and this morning, walked 5 min/jogged 5 min, then went to the start line.

My lack of speed. :-)
I started running in May and am quite pleased with my progress.
