Pre-race routine:

Had normal breakfast of coffee, bagel, hard-boiled egg before race.
Event warmup:

Got to race in time to get number, and do a little stretching. Loosened up shoulders since planning to carry American Flag throughout race.
Run
  • 24m 28s
  • 3.11 miles
  • 07m 52s  min/mile
Comments:

I ran a very nice race, carrying the American Flag throughout.
What would you do differently?:

Nice to run with the Flag, although would've been a bit quicker without. However, the race was to benefit soldiers and took place on 9/11, so figured that I could carry the Flag for the short time of the race.
Post race
Warm down:

Walked around a good deal to cool-down afterward.

Event comments:

Very well run race, and for a good cause.
