Any help would be appreciated! Need to get one for next season. Is there a better time to buy one??? what is the general rate for one?

Now's not bad, October and November are even better when companies are trying to get rid of last season's stock.

It's nice to get the best wetsuit you can afford, but if price is a serious consideration, you can get a perfectly decent triathlon wetsuit for about $100.

Better to get full-sleeved, though they are more expensive, than sleeveless, if you can.

Fit can be important--take your measurements and look them up on the website of the company whose wetsuit it is, for best sizing.

Another option is to rent a wetsuit for a race; if you like it, several rental companies give you the option of putting that money toward purchase.

What are you looking to do? How well do you swim?

Honestly, rent a few of them http://www.wetsuitrental.com/after you get some ideas and go for the one that fits best.

Basic rules that I've noticed seems to be universal advice:

If it's wetsuit legal, wear one.
If you're going to wear a wetsuit, wear a full sleeved one.
A full sleeved wetsuit that fits right will not bind or hinder you in any way. It SHOULD feel like you're not wearing one.

Special stuff about those two comments
if it feels like your shoulders are being restricted or the water is warm enough, you might be better off with a sleeveless. Some good swimmers prefer sleeveless because of that.
