Subject: Powerbar Perform vs Endurance
What difference if any is there between Powerbar Ironman Perform and Powerbar Endurance?  Other than the licensing that is.  Are they similar enough that I could use the half price one to train for IM events with perform?  I know I shouldn't try anything new on race day, but I feel like we're being gouged in this case.

REI sells Powerbar Endurance for  $11 for 52 servings or the Perform for $20 for 52 servings.  They are basically the same thing, so you could train with the Endurance for most work outs, but use the Perfom on a few to make sure it's ok.

That's exactly what I was wondering thanks.  I saw the pricing and figured a good bit of that had to be because of the mdot on the perform.

For this years IM season I bought 3 tubs plus 9 other cheap nutrition items so I could get an additional 20% off.

You can get the cheaper one Endurance at REI for just over $8 for 52 servings if you buy it with other gels/nutrition products..either 20 or 24 gets a 20% discount. I just got 4 more tubs and ordered all the odd flavor of Powerbar gels to see if I can tolerate them.

I also ordered about 12 bottles of the ready to drink from trisports.com to try them out in a long bike and run to see how the RTD sits with me as I suspect it won't be different than powder but will check it out.
