Pre-race routine:

Nice to have a local race for a change and not have to get up before 4 am. I had a piece of toast with some honey and some apple juice.

I hate having to run on pavement. I guess next year barefoot running on pavement for training purposes.

I fumbled with my socks a bit more than usual.

Because I have a long way to go to be competitive in the bike leg I always have to push way harder than I'd like. This being a hilly and lengthy course only compounded that problem.
What would you do differently?:

I need to improve my bike drastically. Me and the drainer are going to become the best of friends this winter.
