Hello,

I just completed my first tri.   It was a sprint.  Swim 1/2 mile 20:20 Bike 13mile 47:23 Run 3 mile 25:20.

With the transitions it all added up to 1 hour 38 minutes.  Nothing special I know.  I was shooting for 1 1/2 hours , but I swallowed quite a bit of salt water  and basically barfed shredded wheat for the duration of the bike ride. I had done loads of bike/run bricks in training with no cramping, but in the race I got wicked calf cramps.  Whats up with that????  Anyway....I am hooked.  I'd do it again this week if they'd set up the bouys in sound again.

I'll be tooling around this site looking for answers to my one thousand questions.

First of all, congrats!! Great job!

Secondly, don't sell yourself short by saying "Nothing special I know". It IS special and you should be very proud. Most people would never even try what you did.

Congrats! It's quite a feeling to complete your first Tri.

I agree, don't sell yourself short. The time on my first Tri was 20 mins longer than yours so your time is quite competitive. Nice job!

Congrats and definitely don't write it off as "Nothing special". You completed a triathlon and that is more than a lot of other people can say. Keep training and you will be surprised how quickly you can improve.
