Hey has anyone done this one? I am thinking of doing it next year and would love to know what you thought of it.

Awesome race... challenging course... but totally worth it!  I have done it every year it has been in existence.  Any particular questions?

I am glad you guys liked it. It looks awesome on the website and it will be perfect for the family. I assume the hills are what make it killer. Looks like there is at least one big one or is it hilly throughout. Is the run hilly also? I am excited about it.

I also did it last year and I think it is one of the best organized races I have done.  I will probably do it again next year as well.  Several of us camped at one of the two state campgrounds (Potowatami, I think) and that made costs a little less.  It is also a beautiful campground.

I highly recommend this race.

It is the run that is hilly...the bike course not so much.  Some rollers but I don't remember anything too tough.  Craig and I camped at peninsula state park.  Make reservations now..they go fast.

Bike is not that hilly - minor rollers. very minor.

Even the run isn't that hilly basically 2 kinda bad ones to speak of.

GREAT race.

Do you have reservations already?  I was looking at group sites, but they are all taken at Peninsula already. Not at Potawotomi....

Did this sprint this year, everything was flat, except the water. I will probably do it again next year. If they had an olympic distance, I might be doing that instead.

Yes, it was potowatomi state park a bunch of us stayed at. I think I made my reservations for a camper sight in Jan? It was already starting to fill up by then.

great race and location.  bike is rolling, run is pretty flat EXCEPT for the 2 fairly large hills - imo, one is a killer and the other is a little less than killer, but kinda long.

I've done it the past 2 years and will prob be going back again this coming year.

My race report may have some info in it...

We should snatch up that group campsite, then shouldn't we? If you're racing, think I can get Robert & Dan to be my race-day babysitters if I decide to race it, too.

I see the dates but when I clink the link to the online registration it is still for the 2010 race.  When does registration open up for 2011?

from the looks of the registeration from the 2010 race, it looks like registration for 2011 will open up in Jan.
