I'm wondering when the 2011 Tris start being announced and when registration typically opens. I checked the Races link on this site and nothing is posted yet for 2011. The only date I know of for sure is the Black Fly Tri which is July 8-10. The BFT is on my "must enter" list of Tris for 2011. I'm thinking of Pumpkinman 2011 too. Thanks!

Mooseman internationl is 6/4, HIM is 6/5

Not sure when others will be posted or open for registration.

I did Pumpkinman half this year - it was an awesome venue and race.  Great support, great environment.

The Xterra in Hanover is August 6-7, 2011.  King Pine Tri and Eastman sprints, which are usually middle to late June will more than likely have information up around the beginning of the year.  You can go the to the event websites and email the race directors to see if they have more solid information.  I wish Black Fly was not the same weekend as the Pats Peak 6/12/24hr mtn bike race.  I want to do Black Fly again, but do love my mtn bike.

Hi all, thanks for the info.

The Black Fly Tri and Timberman Tri's are already accepting registrations. I haven't looked into others yet though. Looking forward to 2011!

We're adding the Firefly 5K Saturday evening, a team competition with points/$$$, concert/music, biergarten in the whole town square, Little Bugger Kids finisher ceremony saturday, on the podium, Finisher shirts for Lord of the Flies finishers, finishers party, etc....

Really excited about it. Working on it right now

Age Group Nationals are in Burlington, VT in 2011 on the same weekend as Timberman.  It will be interesting to see how it impacts Timberman.

I am hoping the weather is better this year for Mooseman.

Hmm, maybe I'll do better at Timberman this year!  Second that on Mooseman weather, but the Timberman weather was perfect.

I'm not sure what the plan is for the Clough YMCA Tri next year, but I hope they don't schedule it the same w/e as Pumpkinman. There were 70+ fewer competitors in 2010's race than 2009 and I think Pumpkinman had a lot to do with that. Ideally, I'd like to enter both the Clough and Pumpkinman in 2011.

Kat will love to hear it.

Anyone sticking to local non-IronMan races this year?  I was seriously thinking of it.  It's important to support local organizations as much as we can in New England.

I love this race.  Can't do it this year.  The wife's best friend decided to get married that weekend.  Unfortunately my best friend decided to get married the weekend of Pumpkinman, so I'm not sure what to do about my race schedule for this year.  I love the black fly weekend, so that's probably a go.  Club championships is King Pine, so I want to do that one as well.  Other than that, what are you guys doing?

My schedule is always changing, but as far as triathlons go I plan on doing Eastman, Stoaked Tri, Clough are definites.  I wish either Black Fly or the 24hr race at Pat's Peak would change their dates, as I would like to do Black Fly again....but mtn bike for me is more fun.  There will be some 5K's, 10K's, and hopefully a trip to Virginia to visit my friend down there and race the Xterra at the same time.  Reach the Beach is also on the list of must do again.  I really wish there would be more off-road triathlons in New England.

I have no clue what my final schedule will be, but I'm planning only local short course races next year.  Jonathon, sorry to hear you aren't going to Eastman again, I loved that race too and was looking forward to seeing you there.

Yeah man.  It was the first race I ever did and wanted to keep it going every year.  Maybe my girlfriend wouldn't mind if I showed up a little late to the wedding.    It's only in NY.

And Paul...just think, one less person to have to pass on the run!

Granted, I'm still a newbie, but the more I read on this site about WTC, the more inclined I am to support the local Tri's. The Clough Tri is a must-do next year as is the Greater Nashua Tri. Both support local organizations.

Keith...sounds awesome.  I really like the event and venue.  That bike course is sweet.  I am definitely in for the lord of the flies this year.

What's new for this year?  Are you going to hand out belt buckle lord of the flies medals for finishers!?  Because that would be awesome.

we're definitely doing finisher stuff for the Lord of the Flies this year...Either organic shirts or headsweats hats, although I like the belt buckle idea too.....Would love feedback.
Also, gonna be a finishers party for Lord of the flies finishers.....

When is the Nashua tri?  I may add the Clough tri.  Looks like a good one.

And Amesbury MA had one this year.  Not NH, but just barely over the border.  And very close for you Jonathon.
