OMG! What happened? I'm glad you're ok, well, I mean, I guess it could have been worse.

Hang in there!

Just wanted to say that I thought the cat who sang the National Anthem did a freakin' great job for being a volunteer and singing in front >600 people while wearing Spandex!

Had he been thinking, he would have given a shout-out to all of his BT.com buddies...

Was he a BT'r?  Yeah, that was great.  The scheduled singer didn't show, so they asked for a volunteer and some dude stepped out of the crowd to sing.  Can you imagine singing the National Anthem, on a moments notice, unaccompanied by any music, in front of 600 people, while wearing a swim cap?  Yeah, that guy has stones.  He did a fine job, too.

Browe79 - 2005-08-26 11:06 AM Hey! Long time, I know. I was in but now I'm out. Two weeks ago, I had a bad bike accident that left me with 35 stitches between my chin and my nose. I also donated three teeth to the pavement. Doc says it's too early to be swimming in a lake. Best of luck to you all!!! I wish I could join ya. Kick butt on Saturday!

Bethany, I heard about your incident this morning at the race.  I'm very sorry to hear about what happened, but hope you are on the mend and back at training very soon.  We missed you out there this morning.  Please keep us informed of your recovery.

Thanks.  That was me.

Like I said, I should've given a shout out to BT had I been thinking...

Steve, that was awsome! We were all admiring the courage, you should get a trophy for that. Good singing, too.

You sang the anthem?!?

Yup, 'twas me.

Glad y'all enjoyed it.  I didn't feel like I did a very good job - normally my voice doesn't waver as much, but I don't have much experience singing solo in front of 600+ people while wearing spandex!

Steve
