I'm curious if anyone has done this one? It seems like a neat sprint and pretty well organized, was curious if anyone had any comments on it? Tomorrow's the last day to register before the $10 late fee...

I did it last year and it was a nice little sprint. Some waves to deal with going out for the swim and a slight uphill going out of transition for the bike. It did get a late start last year (like a half hour) for some reason related to road closures and such but overall a fun little race.

I know the roads well since it's part of our regular sat ride, and westchester pkwy is a good training loop.   Do they close the entire road or just 1/2?

Thinking about signing up...    Would be my first tri since May 2009.....

Did it last year as well. Fun race, good race to go all out. Flat run, pretty well run event. Tend to get lots of SoCal college club teams too which is kinda fun to see.

I am signed up again so see some of you there.

Signed up today.  First tri in quite a while, first sprint in even longer!   Looking forward to it and, funny, after all the races I've done, a bit nervous about it.

Just out to have fun and get back in the swing of things.  I'll let someone else win it

Almost bailed out on this one. I haven't been able to run since the Hermosa Tri last week where I strained my Achilles tendon and the soleus muscle in my right leg toward the end of the run. Been living with ice packs on it since. Should be OK if I start the run out slowly and don't over do it. Guess I may as well blast the swim and the bike since I'll be slow on the run. But then, you never know. I've done tri's with worse injuries than this.

Good to see that a few familiar BT'ers, Chris, Paul, will be there too. Good luck everyone.

Wow, that was a lot of fun, even if it was wet...   That's a nice, well run, small town race, and a great course.  If you are in shape (I was not) you can really hammer that bike and run.

The swim seemed to be accurate, unfortunately, as my time reflects....

I would definitely do this race again, it was a great way to bet back in triathlon

I saw Doug post race, and Paul during the run, thanks to his shout out, but had to get warm and dry afterward  (and eat pancakes   )

Good to see everyone out there on the course , i spotted and cheer Chris on at the swim start and on the run. I was in the last wave . I really like this size field in a race. Just enough folks but not crowded , well marked course and great wide smooth roads to ride and run on . Weather was good for racing but not so kind to spectators (light drizzle/rain) of for hanging around afterwards . As soon as i was done I was wet and cold and bailed to the car to change into dry clothes. Ocean Water was warmer than i expected ( it was 58F at my last race) and i enjoyed a hard effort on the bike and run.
Good fun well organized race . Lets keep this one a secret
