Pre-race routine:

Only had a powerbar for breakfast, not much routine just arrive, warm-up and race.

Comments:

The race start was on a ridge overlooking this incredible view of Emerald Bay. As we waited for the gun, a rain squall descended from the mountains and sprinkled on us for a few minutes. Then, as the gun fired, the clouds cleared and left a perfect rainbow ending in the bay. Spectacular!

What would you do differently?:

Hard to pace properly given the somewhat unknown terrain and the altitude. Without training at altitude, probably hard to do much about that.

Course:	Point to Point race from Emerald Bay to DL Bliss State Park and Beach. Fairly hilly, mostly moderate and long grades, but there were some sections of granite stair steps and very tight switchback climbing. Some tricky footing but mostly fast.
