Flat, fast course. My first 5k in awhile that I was actually racing. A friend of mine was also racing, and silly as it sounds, I really didn't want her to beat me, so I kept my effort just slightly not as hard because I was afraid of blowing up and having her beat me.

Small race, so managed to place. If I had been even close to what I've been able to run in the past, I would have taken 1st. Dang.

Probably could have gone a touch faster, but not too much. Maybe another 30" off my time?

For an inaugural race, pretty well done. Organized. Not enough t-shirts for race day sign-ups, but that's okay since they advertised that only the first x number would get one. Post-race food was pretty good, too.
