Member 47  MF, WI |  Subject: Kurt KineticI've decided to get a kurt kinetic trainer but wondering which one. The road machine or the pro. But I have a couple of questions. Does the extra flywheel make a big difference? Also I have only a gps bike computer so to track mileage, I'll have to get a new bike computer, but has anyone used the kurt kinetic power meter. I was just going to buy a cheap wired computer for winter use but would like some opinions. Thanks |

I've been using it for about two years now and find it to be quite repeatable. And being able to train with power help me a lot with staying focused on the trainer. The only downside I've found with this setup is that I now want a power meter to take out on the road .... |

Customer service and warranty are excellent. (Also have the road machine, no issues.) The only issue with wired is after a workout, it does not retain the average power. (Not sure if any power meter does that...) |

I ordered my road machine online (forget where) and had a problem with the fluid unit after a couple months. Called Kurt, told them about the problem, gave them the serial number over the phone, and I had a new fluid unit two days later. No charge, nothing to ship on my end, and no subsequent problems with the replaced part. |
