Comments: Timing chip strap almost came off half way into the first lap, so I had to stop and take it off and hold it in my hand for the rest of the first lap. Put it back on once I was out of water, but came off again when i jumped in the water. thankfully someone saw it and give it to me. wasted a few minutes here. i will be getting my own strap before next race. the one i had looked like it could fit on an elephant. What would you do differently?: Not have timing chip issue and not be sick all week leading up to event. Transition 1
Comments: need to work on this What would you do differently?: be faster Bike
Comments: Headwind was tough, but thankfully turned into a tailwind for last half of each lap. What would you do differently?: Pedal faster Transition 2
Comments: took too long getting all my gear together Run
Comments: SUCKED !!! Got a mile into run and didn't have any juice left. Hamstrings were really tight and I had to keep stopping to strech them. What would you do differently?: Again, not be sick the whole week leading up to race. I got in some long runs leading up to this race and was hoping to do better. Energy level for whole race was low. Post race
Warm down: Waited for transition to open up What limited your ability to perform faster: Being sick and not getting enough calories/nutrition on the bike Event comments: Great race! Only two improvements would be to have a port-a-john right at the run out and have a central houston packet pickup during the week. Last updated: 2010-08-26 12:00 AM
