Still unsure if I'm able to do this race or not.  I did something to my quad/adductor area.  It's feeling better but not where it should be and I can't risk further injury :-(  :-(  :-(  :-(  I'm very very sad about this.

hoffsquared - 2011-03-07 2:27 PM I completed my last real training session for the 50K yesterday - 10 mile trail race in the rain and mud.  I figure the extra effort through the mud is worth adding at least 2 miles to my training log.  Smile

I feel your pain. The trails have been a mess for the last 2 month. did you do the Backyard Burn race?

Carrie, that stinks. I'll keep my fingers crossed for a fast recovery.

Yes.  It was the 1st Backyard Burn of the season.  I try to do at least one race in the fall and spring.  Very, very muddy.  My feet are still tired from slipping around.  But it was good prep for the 50K since I didn't get on trails too many times during training.

I would love to do one of those races but by the time I find a good date the races are full.

Good luck this Saturday.

It was beautiful but I had a hard day.  Didn't get in the training miles I needed too.  Finished but it wasn't pretty.

Congratulations, but didn't know there was a beauty contest at the end. A finish is a finish, eh?
