It be more interested if it was OWS.  I've done one pool swim tri and while I never say never it is likely my only.

yes I too loath pool swims but sometimes beggers can't be choosers. And an indoor pool during winter may encourage those who do not have a wetsuit.

Also To all Please let me know why if you choose no. THX

1. I hate tri pool swims.  I really think I would rather have a root canal.  The issue is that most tri's with a pool swim tend to be very beginner heavy.  Nothing wrong with that.  We were all beginners at one point.  The problem is that beginner swimmers have no earthly idea how fast they swim.  90% of the time they will pick a 100m pace that is far faster than their actual race day ability.   They might state they will swim the 300m at a 1:45/100m pace.  Then they go out and swim a 2:30/100m pace.  Get a few of them in between the people that really know their pace and you get a log jam in the pool pretty quickly.

2. I don't particularly like to bike outside when it's cold.  I certainly don't want to do it wet.

3. T1 would take forever because you'd have to dry off and layer up.

4. Not a big fan of sprint tri's.  The only sprint tri that will get me out of bed is the Bridgeland event and that's only because I live an exit away.

Yeah, never done a pool swim and have no desire to. Just sounds like a mess.  Of course in the winter I wouldn't do OWS either!  And I agree about biking in the cold while wet. I'm doing my last tri of the year in a couple weeks and even with the Oct weather I am worrying about how to stay warm on the bike (I'm super sensitive to cold) So I guess just whole winter + swimming/wet/cold thing doesn't work out in my mind no matter how you do it!

I'm down, but I'm a glutton for punishment  plus cold doesn't really bother me.

I would do it.

Not much going on as far as Tri's in November so this would be a good option.

A reverse-tri during winter isn't as bad, since you can be layered up during the run and bike, and you aren't trying to bike still wet from coming out of the pool.
