Veteran  278   Surf City USA Huntington Beach, Calif. |  Subject: I am so heartbrkoen-My Buddys Dad was hit and killedOn July 7th my buddy's dad, Roger Grooters, was so happy and excited about his plan to ride from Socal to his home in Florida, the panhandle. He spoke at length about it with me and I was envious that I didn't have the time and freedom that Roger did now that he is retired. He was such a fun loving, great guy to know. I was absolutely crushed to find out that he was struck and killed 300 miles from completing his ride. Dear Lord, words can not express how sad it is to hear this heartbreaking news. A little prayer would be appreciated for Roger and my buddy Kol and his family. And to poor Roger's wife who was his support team, who had to drive up on scene and find her loved one was taken from her. God bless your soul Roger.
