Comments:

OKAY, I DID IT. HERE I AM COMING DOWN THE SLIGHT DECLINE TOWARDS THE TRANSITION. I WAS WEARING MY RUNNING SHOES, WHICH I HAVE NEVER DONE BEFORE. I PULLED MY FOOT OUT OF THE PEDAL, STANDING ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE BIKE, BRAKING, BRAKING BRAK..........CRASH. COULDN'T GET MY FOOT OUT OF THE OTHER PEDAL. UGH, BODY IS SCRAPED UP, BUT MY PRIDE AND EGO HURT THE MOST.

What would you do differently?:

Sounds like you had a good race.  Bummer about coming off your bike.

I agree more brick training and practicing dismounting and coming into transition areas.  I need ot listen to my own advice too *grins*

Whats it like doing the swim part in a pool.  I just can't picture it.  every tri I've done has been an open water swim.

good to see the race report! Well done!
