Hotel Breakers:

Free breakfast?

How far from face expo?

How far from starting line?

I looked at the map, but couldn't tell distances.

No on the breakfast.

Full sleeve or sleeveless wetsuit? I'm thinking I'm bringing both. What is everyone else doing?

No wetsuit haha. Or maybe. Haven't totally decided.

As far as weather goes, that is my profession in the Air Force. Right now we are looking at a race start temp of 60F and high temp of 76F, non-convective winds of 5-7 knots after 10 am.

There looks to be an alright chance of thunderstorms, but they will most certainly be at a later time in the day. I'll post daily wx updates on here and a very detailed one the night before the race.

I am bringing both on the wetsuits, but sure will go with sleeveless.

As far as hotel breakers, from what I have heard it is literally across the parking lot from the swim start, so very nice and convienent. Expo? no clue where that is

The Hotel Breakers is even closer than across the parking lot, its right on the beach.  You walk out the door and you're there.  Last year I went and set up transition and then went back to my room for a bit.

As for the expo, if its in the same place as last year its right next to transition, which is about 1/2 mile down the beach from the hotel in the main parking lot for the park.

I wish all of you good luck!  Rev3 puts on one hell of a race - you won't be disappointed.

I did a short swim this afternoon on the course. I went without a wetsuit and it was chilly but comfortable once I got moving. I'll be going with a sleeveless wetsuit. There was gross black "stuff" around the shore which was all over me when I got out. Not exactly sure what it was but it was probably caused by the recent storms. The lake wasn't flat but wasn't ridiculously wavy either.

So weather.com and accuweather are a ways apart. Weather.com is saying t-storms possible anytime during the day with highs in the low 70's and accuweather has t-storms chance early with clearing and highs in the high 70's. Who'll be right Undecided

I hear ya! I am anxious to start. Not nervous. Not afraid. Just anxious. I have no doubt that I will finish. I can't believe it's tomorrow!!

Expo was pretty cool. Much lower key than I thought, but everyone was very friendly and it didn't seem packed. Kids had fun at the kids race too.

So?

I posted 12:31:and some change. Very happy with it. My best swim ever, made my bike goals and the run, well, I've learned a few things on that.

Great venue-will probably travel too again (for less than IM! LOL!)

Now, how about those tattoos?

Great job all!

I went 11:20, 40 minutes faster than my goal time. Took 2nd in my age group, which is cool.

I guess I won't be getting that free Yakima bike rack, was way off in my predicted time, in a good way!

Had a lot of fun yesterday, great race and venue. 12:32 and change for me, not bad seeing I haven't done squat for training since IMCDA in June.

Couldn't have got a nicer day weather wise.

Loved the race and I would do it again in a second.  My stomach didn't like the last min change from Gatoraid perform to gatoraid pro but other than that a great day.
