more distance swim training outdoors in heat.

I DNF'ed. I dont know if I overdid it or underhydrated, but I was seeing stars and getting dizzy on the big hill about halfway though first loop of course. I had forgotten my breathing machine (sleep apena) the night before at home, so I didnt sleep well and it definitely impacted my race significantly.
What would you do differently?:

Always remember my breathing machine.
