Comments: I tried to do negative splits by watching my heart rate.The first five miles averaged about 155. The second five around 163. The last three were only about 160. The last two miles are almost all up hill and I just could not get my heart rate up any higher.I ate a gel after about an hour,drank sport drink,and ate some power bar balls What would you do differently?: I finished over 19 munutes faster than the same race last year. So I am pleased with that. Post race
Warm down: stretched,took more pictures. Had pizza,bananas, diet coke,and peanut butter on raisin bread. Event comments: We had a beautiful day for a race. The race organizers did a great job. Last updated: 2010-10-07 12:00 AM

did not sleep well last night. Woke up about 2:00 am and could not go back to sleep. Had oatmeal with fruit about 4:30. Got to the race site around 7:00 am. Took pictures with my running group.
