Subject: Daytona Beach Half Marathon : Official Thread
Any BTer's running the Daytona Beach Half-Marathon this weekend?  I will be traveling over solo and would be interested in meeting up with anyone for pre-race dinner Saturday afternoon/evening.

It is such a fun race. All the local school bands out on the corners jamming out and all kinds of coolness. All the treats at the end are kinda fun as well. I think I like that race more than any other race out there. I do have family coming in this weekend so I cannot commit to any Saturday things though but I hope you enjoy your race and decide to do it again next year.

I was a little disappointed when they had to change the route because of the repaving, but oh well, still going to try for a 1:59:59.

Its all flat except for the bridge so you get 2 iterations of that which might be the only pace-breaker. Me and some friends are going to try and keep a 7:45 pace. If I cant hold on to that, oh well. Laughing

It didnt seem to be very much community involvement this year. Oh well. I beat last years time by 8 minutes so I feel good about that. All my friends did killer too.
