Pre-race routine:

Got up really early to eat a banana, english muffin, bacon and hard-boiled egg (plus coffee). Then slowly got dressed in costume.

Comments:

Ran very well. At the 4-mile mark, thought that if I could kick it up a notch that I might PR. However, that thought was quickly erased as I struggled a bit on a long hill climb. Still, for a tough course I was only two minutes off PR.

What would you do differently?:

Needed to do a little more speed training.

Event comments:

Wish they started awards earlier - perhaps 90 minutes after races started. And, perhaps done inside out of the cold wind - especially for those who did not change into dry clothes.
