I used to belong there, but it's been 5 or 6 years, so I don't know if I can be much help. I never swam there, just did classes, weights, and treadmill. Depending where you'll be living, the 24 hr in Lowry is much newer.

ousooner45 - 2011-01-26 1:39 PM Anyone train/swim at the one off Colorado/Alameda?? Im about to move to Denver and this one looks to be about 4 miles from where I'll be living. Just curious!

I used to go to this gym all the time but after swimming in water that was so dirty I couldn't see my hands in front of me, I swore I would never go back.... and I haven't.  Luckily the Highlands Ranch gym is a mile from my office because it is always spotless.

Everything everyone has said is actually very helpful. I'm a newbie to the sport, I have no clue about etiquette or how to share a lane. So far I have not had to share a lane. But I too am so slow it would be interesting on how this works.

And Robyn means the one on County Line/Highlands Ranch... not the one @ C-470 and Broadway/Dad Clark.  I swam at that one for the first and last time last night- there was enough chlorine in that pool for a facility 10x larger.  I still smell after 2 showers.

I go to that one after work sometimes. Compared to the Arvada location, the one on Colo. Blvd & Alameda seems to be longer. I haven't actually measured it. May it's just the layout of the pool/sauna area there. The 24Hr in Broomfield has the same pool/sauna layout as the Colo. Blvd. & Alameda location. Maybe someone has input on the Broomfield location.  I'll be up in Broomfield area next week. I'll try to make it on a swim day, so I can report back.

I went to the 24HR @ Colo Blvd & Alameda after work this morning. It is 25yds on the dot.
As I said earlier, the Broomfield location has the same layout. So I think it's safe to say that the Broomfield location is also 25yds.
