markz - 2010-11-05 4:55 AM While living in Chicago I was addicted to Joy Yee Noodles. It wasn't even so much the main courses (for a vegetarian there were only few dishes), but the fantastic cold fruit smoothies. My favourite was tarot/tapioka freeze. Who would have come up with that combination?

OMG!  My bro and sis-in-law LOVE this place!  Good food, but I get creeped out when other people order things that have entire fish heads on the plate...!!

LOL! Me too. That's a good reason to become vegetarian...

weirdly..they are vegetarian...but they do love Joy Yee!

I don't eat out a lot

I bet, that must be difficult to find good options.

I'm going out on a limb and guessing you own a Chili's franchise...which whether true or not, reminds me of possibly the worst service I ever received in my life. The culmination of the service was when my ladyfriend asked for a slice of lemon, the server came back with the lemon. In. The. Palm. Of. Her. Hand.

*twitch*

If you do own a franchise, this obviously does not indicate that you have the same problems at your place. Just reminded me of the horrors.

No one mentioned my two favorites:

Benihana  and....wait for it.....Waffle House.  I just love it.  Love watching the cooks work. And every time I've been in one, it seems to have the friendliest waitresses.

I do not own one (I wish!), but I am a GM of one. Worked for Chili's for 19 years now in every capacity.

Wow, five pages into this and nobody has mentioned Popeyes. That is a huge thread fail. Laughing

The closest Popeyes to me is 180 miles away. This is a good thing for my pants size, but I must admit there are those lonely times late at night when I started fantasizing about their red beans and rice, spicy chicken and biscuits.
