Comments:

Choppy and C-C-COLD! Took my breath away- literally! Got off to a very slow start because I couldn't breathe for the first 5 minutes. Wandered off course a few times, too.
What would you do differently?:

Try to get in the water a little earlier to acclimate. Sight better.
Transition 1
  • 04m 27s
Comments:

A LOT of walking here (and uphill, to boot). Got stuck in my suit!
What would you do differently?:

Take timing chip off so suit doesn't get stuck on ankle.

Comments:

Hills, hills, HILLS! The hilliest course I've ever ridden.
What would you do differently?:

Hills, hills, HILLS!
Transition 2

Long walk between dismount line and transition.

Comments:

Feeling pretty discouraged by this time. Walked up most of the hills.
What would you do differently?:

Avoid hilly courses!

Great job, it was a really tough course! Also, quite chilly!

Next time, try putting your timing chip under the leg of your wetsuit if possible. Then the wetsuit slides over it easier without removing it.

I was bike in/out volunteer and I heard quite a bit of mumbling about the bike course and the fun jog between transition and bike mount.

Great job on a very hard course!  Even a few of the pros mentioned the course was the hardest they had rode/run this year.
