Pre-race routine:

Had a full breakfast - pancakes, eggs, bacon - with family. Gathered up clothes to change into after race, and drove to Falmouth.

I ran with Matthew to help pace him. Kerrin ran her own race, and finished at about 1:00:40 - a very impressive time for her.

Warm down:

Walked a little. As usual at this race, great clam chowder at the conclusion.

Event comments:

Although cold running Falmouth in the Fall, very nice course to run.

Ran with Matthew. He did 8:31 first mile, which as it would turn out, was too quick for him. Next miles splits: 9:23, 9:35, 10:26, 10:00, 10:18. Final 1.1 miles in 9:14 -as I encouraged him to push the pace and break his previous 1:12 time for the race.
