Caught this one on a 4wheeling trip I go on every fall with my dad. We camp right next to lake superior. This is the sun rise by the mouth of the Huron River in the UP of Michigan. The dog is my wife and mine, Nadie. She LOVED just staring at lake superior.
- One of these things doesn't belong
- Izzy
- Alaska (I am still annoyed I broke my camera just before the trip and had to use my wife's old crappy camera)
- Window in an old abandoned house near where I grew up
- Mountain Biking in the fall
Teejaay - 2010-11-19 2:34 PM Oh yes! I love taking close up pics of food. I've many! I like close up photography in general!
I was out scooching about on my belly in the yard today taking pics of a dead bird and other small stuff. I just had surgery on my lady plumbing a couple days ago so my belly session was shortlived and I was too lazy to set up the tripod. Dandelion seed stuck in a finch wing.
Nice photos Dave. We seem to be drawn to similar images.
There is an abandoned house that I run by that has a tree that seems to be trying to escape the building. I always wish I have my camera when I see it so this week I finally walked over to snap a pic while out looking for tree shots.

Kathy this is gorgeous! I see a tree. It could be in a tree thread.

Ah, but I have more and I think I like one better.....still deciding & shooting! (esp since I can't run yet but CAN walk!)
Teejaay - 2010-11-21 5:00 PM Alrighty ... I am trying out Aguagirl's suggestions on how to upload a pic to BT and retain the quality of the image. Behold a fly in a smelly succulent flower. Took this last year during my photography class field trip ... just using the 18-55 mm lens, hand held, experimenting (as in, not having a clue) with the exposure and ISO in this shady yet slightly morning sun lit corner. I am drawn to the small, odd and colorful things around me!
Edit: Appears to have worked. Oddly the size is around 880 KB ... and I uploaded it to my BT album which only says it takes up to 200 KB images ... hmmmmmm. Anyone? It is still not as sharp as the original image but much much better than what it looked like when I loaded it the old way. Perhaps this should be in the "photo class" thread ....
I just wanted to share this picture I took of my uncle right after our hay ride on Thanksgiving. I loved the way it turned out. I love the way the "headlight" actually looks like the sun going down. [/IMG]
