Subject: Computer "illegal Operation" Message
My computer is having a harder and harder time opening threads - it seems that about 50% of the time, I will get a "THIS PROGRAM HAS PERFORMED AN ILLEGAL OPERATION AND WILL BE SHUT DOWN. IF PROBLEM PERSISTS, CONTACT THE PROGRAM VENDOR"When I click on the "detail" button, it tells me that "IEXPLORE CAUSED AN INVALID PAGE FAULT IN MODULRE URLOMN.DLL AT 16F:702B 5079"Next it tells me that there was an internal error, and one of the windows you were using will be closed. I then have to close out, and restart my internet connection.Anyone have any suggestions - Of the 17 gazillion webpages on the world wide web, this is the ONLY site that gives me any trouble. BTW - I have an antique Gateway 266 computer, running windows 95 (Remember that operating system?). I know, the easy solution is to replace the machine - but I hate the thought, as it is only used for Quicken and Beginnertriathlete.comThanks for any help,Dennis

What version of internet explorer do you have? Is it 1.0?

I was going to tell you to dump IE and use Firefox. Unfortunately it doesn't run on 95, but it may be worth a shot. My guess is that an updated version of IE would probably not run on a 95 machine. You could try using the Opera browser (www.opera.com), it is supposedly Win95 compatible.
