Here's your Sunday trivial question.

How on earth do you get your race belt to stay put?
As you can tell by my pic I am a girl with a girly figure (hips) so my race belt likes to ride up.  I'd be ok if it sat at my waist where my shorts meet my top but it rides up further than that and I find myself wrestling with the thing the whole run.  Any tips?  It drives be bonkers because when it rides up it is uncomfortable and I hit it with my hands sometimes.

I turn it around so I don't hit the number as much.  Just remember to right it if you want finish photos!

Otherwise, I have the same problem, it rides up on me too.

I turn mine backwards for the run until the finish.  The race number doesn't get in the way then.  But it still rides up and is annoying so other tips are welcome.

If I loosen mine, it seems a little better.  Basically it wants to find the smallest spot on my torso.  Apparently that spot is about 2" under my bra.  Frown

The only solution I have found is to make it super loose otherwise I have the same problem as you.  That way it stays below my hip bones and rests more on my butt.

That happened to me, I saw most people wear them low on their hips, so I tried that at first, but it would ride up and then spin around and around. Drove me nuts.  So now I just wear it high, around the smallest part of my waist. It can't go up because of my rib cage, can't go down because of my hips. That's where I wear my Fuel Belt too. Its a bit higher than most wear it, and I do hit my hands on them occasionally, but that bothers me less than the number slipping and spinning.

This is what I do too... I find it incredibly annoying to have the belt bouncing around, so I'd rather have it tighter and sitting higher on my and not bouncing around as opposed to looser just so that it will bounce around my hips.

I wear it very low, underneath my hip bones. I also wear non "shiny" shorts, which helps.

This is the only way I can wear mine. I hate them. But I have to wear one on my long runs. I might buy a Nathan next year to see if it works better than my current fuel belt.

DON'T WEAR ONE!!  There is a much simpler way.  Purchase a role of VELCRO  with adhesive back.  Use safety pins to attach one side to your top and stick the other side of the VELCRO  to the back of the race number.  At T2, just slap the number on.  I've used this method at 4 Olys and it works great (just make sure you use pins on the shirt).

I don't want to put holes in my tri top which is why I got the race belt in the first place.

If you try to wear your race belt low and it slides up then it will twist and you'll hit it occasionally.  I've found it's better to just put it on my waist where it was going to end up anyway.  At least I can tighten it so that it doesn't twist and I'm not knocking it.

I like the idea of putting it under the hip bones but mine don't stick out enough to stop the slide.  I don't know if that's just how my body is built or if it means I've got more weight to lose.

I have the same issue only when I wear a tri suit.   If I wear tri shorts and tri tops, the belt seems to get caught where the two clothing pieces meet and stays put.
