Pre-race routine:

Ate a bagel and peanut butter. Water and coffee. Friends showed up. Got in the car for a 50 min drive to event

Ran around from car in the freezing cold and wind.

Comments:

Good run with my friend Carla from the running clinic. Great day. A bit damn cold and windy. I was freezing before the race started.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing. I drank a bit too much water and had to visit the bathroom a bit much before the race. But all good.
Post race
Warm down:

Waited for friends and my wife to cross the line from her walk. Ate pizza which I think gave me bad upset stomach after. Several of us seemed to not feel wellafter.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Event comments:

A bit too long with annoucements and thanking everyone. Its great to have all the help and the people that put on the race the volunteers. They are GREAT and we need them. However spending 40 mins thanking everyone, before slowly. I MEAN slowly going through the awards was kind of bad.

But it is a great event with great people. Great after party with lots of food etc. 305 people in the 5k run and well over 400 people at the event. Money goes to a good cause for Community Living. It was great.

That is what you get for running in the Great White North, they tell me it's cold up there.
