Just curious to see what shoes you all are wearing for your training runs and ultra runs. Hopefully it will give me an idea of what shoes to look at when I make my next trip to the store.  Thanks all!

I run in brooks launch all of the time.  I like the shoe; however, my two newer pairs make odd noises.  I'm not liking that.  I like lighter shoes with less cushion.

Anyone have any experience with the Adidas Adizero line?  I'm looking at both the Adios and the Tempo, and both seem good for my Gait and training.  I'm planning on getting one pair of trainers and another pair of flats.

Inov8 Flyroc 310.  Very happy with these shoes.  I love the very roomy toe box.  I've had no toe or toe nail problems at all in these shoes, up to 100 miles.  That, plus Drymax Max Pro Trail socks are the ticket for me.

Sucony Triumph 8's... I found the triumph a while back and haven't had any issues.  They work for me really well so I'm sticking with them... lol

Running in multiple shoes. Favorites are Montrail Mountain Massochists. Also running in a pair of Under Armours and a pair of Salomons. I can't remember the exact models for the UA and Salomons though.

I am transistioning to Saucony Kinvara's from Asics Nimbus.  The Kinvara's are a minimalist shoe with a pretty aggressive tread good for trail running.  Only 7.5 oz as well so you can hardly tell your wearing them.  For now I only run shorter distances or trails with them including my last Half Marathon.

99% of the last 2000 miles I have done have been in two pairs of Vibram Fivefingers. With 90% of that being on road.

A pair of NB 476's that I got for $30 or $35.  They replaced the pair of Asics trail shoes that I got for $30 2 years ago.

The NB's are wider, and when the laces loosened up during the 30-miler a couple weeks ago, my sliding feet jammed my big toes into the front of the toebox.  This is my first experience with purple/black toenails.

Like BatLou I use the Kinvara's as well.  But mainly for gravel or road.  If it gets to more technical terrain I go even more minimal with the New Balance MT 101s (new version of the 100s).  But the Kinvara's are good for trail too if you need just a bit more padding (especially under your forefoot).  I'm working my way towards being able to do ultras in the MTs, but I'm still worried I'm not adapted enough to doing a 50k+ in the MTs.  After decades of cushioned shoes, you can't just jump into minimal shoes.  Anyone running in Vibrams will tell you the same thing... it takes time to strengthen the muscles/ligaments needed.  So if you're going more minimal, build into them.  The Kinvaras are a good first step towards that.

Montrail Mountain Massochist...so far I love them.  Pior to these I was wearing the La Sportiva Wildcats...I liked them, but mud tended to cake to them too easily.

here is a hilarious review that one of the local runners here posted about the 101's!  haha

http://evanak-onemoremile.blogspot.com/2010/10/new-balance-101-in-depth-review.html

his blog is rather entertaining.

Haha, not sure if I'd refer to that as a "review".  Not to state the obvious, but it would be nice to know why he doesn't like them.

Training on non-technical trails and road: Asics GT 2140 (looking forward to the new 2150's)

Technical trails and races: Asics Trabuco 13.

Have tried Merrell Overdrives, Montrail Hardrock and Salomons. Sticking with Trabuco's.

Doing all my trail running in Inov8 Roclite 315's.  Awesome light minimalist shoe.
