Subject: Help me pick AeroBars: First Half-Ironman
My first half ironman is coming up in April of 2011.  I'm doing the 20-week plan and it's all going well but am getting some lower back strain and heard that Aerobars will help.  I'm riding a Trek 2100--a bit of an older model but has had very little use.  Perfectly functional bike and what i've got.  Maybe if I get into this i'll get a new one, but now just looking to add some comfortable aerobars without breaking the bank.  Am 6'2" and 190lbs.  Thanks!

I'll try those out, thanks.  They're like $120 on amazon

The Profile Design T1+ is pretty comfy and super adjustable. I put a set of them on my road bike for training. They work well because you can get the pads behind the bars on a road bike to get into a proper aero position. You can also adjust them all over the place... especially back and forth. I picked mine up at ebikestop for $79.

EDIT: The only thing I see wrong with the Carbon Strykes is that you have very little, if any, forward and back adjustment. With a road bike you usually need to get the pads behind the handlebar and the Carbon Strykes dont look like they can do this. Just an FYI.

This is really helpful and is what I was concerned about, thank you.  I just ordered them
