got up, ate some pop tarts and drank some gatorade

Comments:

took off near the front. looked at my garmin at the first turn and it was on fire....great first mile of 6:55. I cannot remember the last time I saw that kind of a number. Stayed behind a girl for the first 1.5 miles, then lost her in the rollers. Second mile I was at 14:21 and liking my chance for a PR... Mile 3 22 mins...and I could smell it. Knocked 42 sec off my PR. very happy!

got passed by 2 people in the entire race. One in the middle and one near the end after I had previously passed them.
