Subject: Advice on underwater mp3 player - make swimming tolerable!
Hi,
I'm bored by swimming laps and looking into purchasing an underwater mp3 player.  There are a few on amazon for $39-$49 for 2gb, others with more features/space for more.  I don't have an extensive music collection, just want something that has decent sound, ear buds stay in ears, and would like if it could convert to use outside the water too.  Any suggestions on what you've liked?
Thanks!

I picked up the Nu Dolphin style refurb 4GB of daily steals for $30 over a month ago. The battery only lasts a couple hours, sometimes it's tough to hear without fiddling with the ear buds, it took forever to load, & the controls are a pita. That being said, it has transformed my work outs. I used to hate the pool & now it's almost fun. I will buy another, different type, when this one dies.

As much as I hate Apple, that waterproof shuffle looks like it would be perfect.

Stop swimming laps, and start swimming sets. You won't be bored, and your swimming will improve drastically. If you still want an mp3, I like my Finis SwiMP3 for when I have to do long continuous pool swims.

I use a waterproof case for my shuffle from H2Audio. Paired with waterproof headphones. Awesome!
I have been using this to alleviate pool boredom for a couple of years now..........

Just know that you will also have to purchase waterproof headphones if you go this route. Looks like they are not included.

I use the finis mp3 player.  The sound gets muffled by the bubbles and the splashing but I use it to keep tempo sometimes.  I haven't tried the beap pacer thing from instead.  Sometimes when I teather swim and just swim for time, I need something so I don't start counting minutes.

X2.  I've used the H20 Audio Interval for almost a year, and it's made all of the difference.  Should have bought it sooner!
