Pre-race routine:

I wanted to wimp out because of the rain. Then I HTFU.
Event warmup:

I held a cup of coffee in my hands to keep them warm while I sat at the start line. I'm glad the rain stopped right around the time the race started.

1 second slower than my PR time on this course 2 years ago. 1 freaking second. I knew it would be close and I sprinted as fast as I could at the end but the finish line just kept getting further and further away instead of closer. It was weird.
What would you do differently?:

I would capitalize on my IM training in a more effective way. For example, I ran maybe twice a week since the IM and last week I ate about 15 donuts. Probably not the best training plan.

Warm down:

Walked to the car with my wife (who cheered me on at the finish which was awesome!)

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Voodoo Donuts. Top Spot Donuts. Laziness. Burnout from IM training. My stupid Achilles tendon aching. Excuses. That darn moving finish line. Eating like I'm still training for an IM when I'm not. My mind telling me to quit.
