I apologize for linking to another site, but this is a really cool story of Pro Triathlete Jordan Rapp who posts over at ST. From getting hit by a car a few months before a race and unable to train at all to 4th place at IMAZ.

Along with the report is everything he put into his body for the Ironman. Some cool stuff!

A truly remarkable story of perseverance on Jordan's part.

The amount of calories that he took in is quite remarkable - and he doesn't drink any water during the entire race.

what is shocking most for me is the number of salt he took on the run.  1 tablet per mile is insane.

his setup looks insanely aero also....

No need to apologize, Jordan's the man. We met him at the Rev3 Tri in Knoxville this past May. Very nice guy.

Wow!  Just simply, WOW!
Amazing!
And reading about not taking in water by itself is something, IMO, very weird, but, I guess he takes in enough with all the other nutrition.
And he only gets 4th place with those times?  Crazy!

He won last year. I guess getting run over = 3 places.

What's the best to determine if you need more or less sodium?

Sounds like Jordan upped his sodium intake over time and it stays pretty constant no matter race conditions ie IMAZ '10 vs. IM Canada '09.
