Subject: Black Running Shoes
I have never owned a pair of black running shoes (quite frankly, I really not cool enough to pull off black shoes).  However, I found a few pairs of my running shoe in black at $36 per pair less than my regular white shoes.  I am tempted to by a couple pairs, but I am not sure if there are any drawbacks to using black shoes (apart from fashion issues - i need to buy some black running socks).

Any reason not to run in black shoes?  Maybe this is my opportunity to be cool!

I felt pretty funny at first wearing navy blue Nike Lunarglides, with a red swoosh and gray soles.  But damn, if I didn't get a lot of compliments on them.

oh- yes, you need to buy some black socks to go with them.  I'd suggest Balega's.

The only issue I can see is that they might offer less visibility to others during night time runs.

For fashions reasons though there is no reason not to get them.  Plus you crazy americans wear white sports socks with black shoes all the time.  I'm sure no one would bat an eyelid at you Laughing

x2.

Get some black laces and black socks to go along.  Even us uncool folks have a right to wear black!

They will make you look slow, so you will catch the competition off guard!  (Or just confirm what they think...)
