Subject: mtn biking in Roanoke
I live in PA and we are traveling to Roanoke for the week between Christmas and New Year's. We heard there are a lot of mtn bike trails and plan on riding every day. Yes it is a mtn bike vacation LOL.

Can anyone make some recommendations? Want to join us? know of club rides? etc.

We don't mind climbing (all we have are mtns to climb here), we don't mind roots and logs, will ride whatever....I'll probably bring my 29'er hard tail.

Looking forward to riding some new trails!

Carvins Cove is a great place - about 15 min from downtown Roanoke.  About an hour from Roanoke is Douthat State Park - this is one of my favorite places.
