Comments: Tried to start at 7:30 pace and hold that, but found that it wasn't possible. I slowed down gradually but ultimately averaged 8:03ish. Best time to date for a 10K so I was happy, but really wanted to get closer to 7:30 pace. There's always the next one. I know I could run faster than what I did and I think that b/c I didn't taper and I did some hard weight workouts this week, it affected my capability on race day. What would you do differently?: Not be so aggresive on the pacing strategy and run an even split. Post race

Coffee, water. No more drinking 2hr before start. 1/2 gatorade bottle 10 min before start.
Jog for 15 min. 4 strides.
