Thanks! Just ordered mine and it worked. I've been looking for a deal like this. I was considering getting a cheaper one and to see how much it would actually get used, then I considered the fact that we are going to be much more likely to use a good quality trainer which is quiet. My wife won't use the treadmill because she is worried it will wake the kids so a noisy bike trainer wouldn't be much help either.

Thanks again!

Bad news. Just got an E-mail stating the item is on back-order. Guess I screwed up another Christmas with a late gift.

Wrap up the receipt and let her open it?  Or wrap up a trainer skewer and when she looks puzzled tell her a trainer is on the way?

Would you happen to know the date of manufacture and serial number of these trainers. I would like to be able to add a pro flywheel which requires trainer be manufactured Jan 2010 or later. Thanks for posting this.

Sorry no clue. I've had my KK trainer for 2 years and didn't partake in this deal. I just happened to bump into it and wanted to share it.

Thank you so much. I did place did order. It is backordered as reported here, no worries there. I am thinking that since it is on back order that it probably is after Jan 10. I kept calling KK to ask, but nobody is answering.

this trainer is found for that price a few times a year on different websites.

if it is on back-order = ouch.  Very risky ordering anything on back-order.

also, something to keep in mind...you will need a front wheel riser so that the front wheel is elevated, otherwise it would feel like you are going down hill all the time and your training will be impacted.

also you may want to buy a mat for under the trainer, unless you are doing this in a garage or basement. you will sweat so much that some kind of mat is required.

This is easily handled by an old book, or an old piece of 2x4 lumber.  Not sure why people waste money on a specific riser.

My husband just built me a little riser out of wood. It had "rails" on the side so the tire doesn't slide off. Really really easy to do... believe me he's no wood-worker.

Mine is set to arrive on the 22nd also. I also got her a Garmin 405 as a back-up plan so she should be happy.

As far as a riser goes, I built one out of scrap  2x4s and foam padding from a shipping crate. It works fine and the price was unbeatable. (Free - my time)
