Run
Comments: This was a very good run for me. Post race
Warm down: Rested a few minutes, then ran back to pace Beth to her finish. (pick up maybe another 1/2mile in doing so) Then headed out on the 2.8 Family Walk course, trying to catch up to Dad, Alexa, and Ryan. (They started near or just before I finished.) However, I never did! Apparently, Alexa wanted to run much of it. So despite pushing myself with a decent pace, so they finished the 2.8 miles shortly before I caught up to them. What limited your ability to perform faster: A couple weeks with minimal/inconsistent running and poorer nutrition. Event comments: This is a nice, decently-sized (~700 racers) neighborhood event. I like that it is 5 miles rather than 5k, plus having the family walk concurrently means that other family members can come out too. I also like the bagpiper playing at the finishing stretch.
