Who's in? I'm sooooo doing this! Looks like fun! It's on 4/30/11, in Florence, AZ. I'm looking forward to the muddy finish line.

This looks awesome! Under "Race Day Info" it says that it is "3.40 hellish miles".  Looks like prices go up at the end of the year.

I don't think so. I know a couple people who have done it in other states. Nothing but good reviews, they all had a blast! I will definitely be there!

From what I can tell you sign up for a time slot and then if you are a team you dress alike.  But you don't register as a team.

3 of the endurance obstacle course races in AZ in 2011:

Spartan race at Rawhide 3/12 (www.spartanrace.com/event_arizona.html)

Warrior Dash - as already posted

Tough Mudder TBD - probably late year (www.toughmudder.com)

They look like a fun "break" from regular endurance and multi-sport events.

My wife and friends are signed up but we have not resolved the main question of what will we dress up like. We are thinking of going Blue Man Group with complete body paint but not sure if its flamable. How will you dress?

Hello all,

I am new to this site.  I have not done a triathlon.  I would like to run in the Warrior Dash.  My plan is to eventually do a mini tri- so if you all are getting a group together for April 30th- like to be apart of whatever!!!  Sounds fun and crazy.  Wink

Just signed up for the May 1st 2:30 wave. Myself and several people from my office are all signed up for the same wave. Still working out what my costume idea is going to be. Any suggestions?

I did the Spartan race in March. It was 8+ miles long with obstacles and punishment.  The endurance athlete won the day because the hardest obstacle was the 8+ miles.  A good race and a good break.

The Warrior Dash is 3.4 miles.  I don't know how many good obstacles they are going to be able to pack into 3.4 miles.  Too short IMO.

I also did the mad mud run, 4 miles but only 6 obstacles.  It was basically a 4 mile run with mud at the end.

I am eagerly waiting for the ToughMudder.  It sounds more intense that all the others.

Tough Mudder in December is 10 miles - should separate the men from the boys (and the women from the princesses Smile), and definitely will not draw the numbers like Warrior Dash will do this weekend.

I convinced a bunch of people from work to join me for the Dash on Sunday. We got into the 2:30 wave. Should be good and hot even before we get to the fire. I think I will be happy to jump into that mud.
