I'm racing the Sunday 10:30 wave, after racing the National Du Championships on Saturday.  Should be an entertaining weekend to say the least.    The afternoon waves are going to be hot.

This race was FUN!  Everyone seemed to have a good time, no one got antsy or angry when there were very short waits at some of the obstacles (which really did not happen much except at the cargo nets, spider web and the wall).  It was a nice environment, but I HIGHLY recommend taking a pair of flip flops all the way to the gallery.  We left our spare clothes in the car, donated our shoes to green sneakers, then walked barefoot about .4 mile along a gravel/dirt road.

Whoever is doing this Sunday, have a blast!  It is a nice, easy 3.4 mile course.  Enjoy the environment!

it was a fun run...too bad I rolled my left ankle jumping down from a car.  It can't be too bad of an injury as my wife has now left me with the kids to do errands and make dinner.

Yep, nothing but good stuff here! It was a lot of fun. I was in the first wave, and even at 9AM, it was pretty hot. But the mud pit was so cool and refreshing, and a lot of fun! I saw 3 oompa loompas, and a couple dressed in formal clothing. I wish I could have been there to see the girl jump into the mud with her long pink formal dress.

I'll be returning next year!

I saw that couple out there too, but did not see them actually on the course.  In my heat we had Batman, Superman and Captain America, plus a Zena Warrior Princess costume, along with a group that wore prison inmate orange jumpsuits and called themselves the Alcatraz Swim Team.  Hilarious!

I think there should be a BT team next year, in full costumes. Just an idea...

I just got back from finishing mine.  A totally fun race, although a long drive from Tucson.  I'd put it on the recommend list for next year for sure if someone was looking for something fun.  I had mud in places that just shouldn't have mud.

What was with the sharp rock and sand in the mud pit? Everyone I know cut up there knees. We still had a ton of fun though and great SWAG.

Here is a video of the mud pit at the finish (we jump into the mud at about 27 seconds into the video).

If you navigate to the TriSports University section of our website (TriSports.com) there is a photo gallery/story on the Arizona event.

The link in my signature line gets you there too.
