Wow can't believe that it is already over.  I am not joining a new mentor group since i am not doing any tri's this season.  I am hoping that this group stays a little active and I can keep up my motivation through all the awesome people I have met!!!

Kristen, have a GREAT vacation!!! It's freezing in the mtns, would love a little warmth. It was sleeting yesterday all morning!

nice race report, darren!  sounds like it was a fun (although slippery) time!

keri - how did your race go?  hope you had fun!

we're heading to florida tomorrow for 6 days - hope i can keep up with the training while on vaca...

have a great week, everyone!!

what type of sabatical are you on anyways?

Darren, Mark and I founded a nonprofit ministry in 2006 called Habitat for Hope. We build relationship and care for families that have seriously ill children. Part of how we do that is living in community with families - so we share our space (home) with two other families at all times. We are nearly always full. Additionally, our property is always open to families and friends coming out to play and enjoy the outdoors - I teach horse lessons, etc, etc...so all that to say we rarely have "off" days. Like ever. We figured it was about time to take a month of downtime, its been really sweet so far! We've got an amazing staff in Memphis taking care of everything - Mark's been building that around us as he moves into a director of development role and focuses more and more on growing the org. We love our work but it can be exhausting, physically and emotionally! Maybe not as exhausting as running your crazy mileage. www.habitatforhope.org

I'll be hanging around since I'd love to keep up with all of you! And since I can't guarantee another multisport race this year, I think I'll just hang here and work on my running. I plan on getting back into the pool soon, but REALLY taking it easy while working the rotator cuff, etc.
