I'm sure this is not as complicated as I think but what is a good way to export just the elevation profile out of Garmin Connect? If I "print to file" and make it a JPEG it cuts it off a little. Is there a better/simpler way?

And then the next question is whether it is possible to insert a picture into your training blog. When I go to "insert picture" it asks for a URL. The picture would normally just be on my hard drive. Any thoughts appreciated.

You could try using a screen capture tool like SnagIt.

Not sure if its exactly what you are looking for, but I also use http://ridewithgps.comfor routes and I like their elevation profile.  I think you can export this as well.

Not sure on the posting a picture to your blog.  But you most likely have to upload it to a site first and then use the url to where you posted it.  Your hard drive is not really accessible to the internet.

Just use the print screen button and paste into paint, then trim away what you don't want & save as a jpeg

Or, if you're on a mac, use the 'grab-it' application.  It's in your utilities folder in your applications folder (probably).  It will let you select any area of the screen to turn into a TIFF, but then you need to open it back up (Preview) and save it as a JPEG.
