Don't know how I missed your last post, sorry about the late reply but here's my take.

Stay the course as my family would say.  You missed the three "big" weeks but that's what happens in real life.  You may not be able to hit your goal time but you should be able to put in a good performance.  Your training up until then was fine so you still have a decent base.  Enjoy your race, slow down to an enjoyable pace and really soak up the day.  You've come a long way and there will be plenty of races in your future.  Enjoy where you're at and what you're able to do.

My most memorable race has to be my first IM, Florida 2008.  I felt awesome for about 127 miles then out of no where I was hit with leg cramps.  I "Ironman shuffled" the last half of the marathon but smiled the whole way.  I still couldn't believe that I was out there doing a real ironman.  Running past my wife, kids, and parents who were out the whole day, being caught at the finish line by KathyG (uber BT'er) just a fantastic day.  The next two IMs were great too, but something about that first race in Florida still makes me smile.  Although I feel like I've become a better athlete since then, Florida still holds my fastest time as well....but that has nothing to do witht the memories.

14 days until IMOZ

We've been archived!  I've been out for a bit with the trip to Vegas for my little brother's wedding, then I had to finish up my grad school stuff, and actually get in some training.  Hope all of you are doing well.

I appreciate the time we had to chat this season and if being archived means we're done, I'll still be keeping tabs on you throughout the season....and beyond.

Good luck!

It seems you are right, in the archive bin we have gone. Oh well.

My parting message then is to let you know I finished my first post-cancer tri yesterday. The swim was a disaster, but otherwise things went well. The race report is here:
